My final challenge for Level 1 of the Altenew Educator Program is to make a card or project using any 3 components from the required courses and use the theme get well or thinking of you.
The three Altenew Academy Classes I drew ideas from when creating this card were:
Let It Shine- Lesson 2 Embossing Powder
Easy Ink Blending Techniques - Lesson 4 Emboss Resist
Seasonal Scene Building - Lesson 6 Shaker Scene
My colors were inspired by a bottle of lotion I have with the prettiest colors on the label of rose gold , mint green and white glitter. I embossed the bear in rose gold then blended pistachio Distress Ink over the image. I splattered on some water and blotted with paper towel to add some texture to the background. The sentiment is heat embossed on heat resistant acetate. This was a bit tricky. I found it easiest to get the sentiment straight by first adhering the acetate to the shaker frame then stamping and heat embossing using my Misti positioning tool. I also had quite a bit of fluming (bits of embossing powder sticking to the acetate where I didn't want it) even though I used an anti static embossing buddy.
Carissa Wiley adds detail to her cards using thin strips of card-stock, glitter card-stock and patterned paper this inspired the strips of card-stock I adhered to the card. one strip is white glittered card-stock and the other two strips I made to match.
Stamps used: Bear from Altenew and sentiment from Hero Arts
Shaker crystals and beads from Studio Katia.
Thank you for stopping by. I enjoyed sharing my projects for the Altenew Educator Program. Have a fantastic day.
