Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

Hello.  I'm here today with a card I made with stamps and dies from Mama Elephant.  I made this card for the December Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

I diecut the watercolour paper than stamped it using ink that does not bleed when watercoloured except for the pine needles.  The pine needles I stamped using green Distress Ink then used a damp paint brush to move the ink.  I painted this card using Daniel Smith and Holbein watercolours.  I used a stencil brush to add the blue Distress Oxide Ink to the edges.  Then after adhering the card together I added a little bit of glitter to a couple of the Christmas tree ornaments.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you are inspired to play along with Happy Little Stampers December challenge.

Panda Valentine Tag

Hello.  I am sharing a tag made with inspiration from the Tag You're It! challenge #65, featuring an adorable tag made by Lisa Arana.

I was inspired by Lisa's tag to make Valentine tags for my kids.  This was a cute and quick tag to make.  I used stamps and dies from Mama Elephant.  I colored the little panda with Copic markers.  The floating hearts where die cut from red card stock, after adhering them to the tag I added Glossy Accents to them and the heart on the panda's envelope.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see your tags linked up to the challenge at Tag You're It!

Tag You're It Challenge #34

Hello, time for a new challenge at Tag You're It!  Challenge #34's inspiration was made by Susan Wuthrich.  She made this adorable vibrant tag.

I wanted to make a clean and simple Christmas tag.  I used an old Stampin' Up stamp for the branches and decorated them with ornaments from a newer Mama Elephant stamp set.  I colored the images with Copic markers and added some glitter jelly roll pen and glossy accents to the ornaments.

I'm also linking my tag up with the Simon Say's Stamp challenge "So Glossy".  I use Glossy Accents often in my card making, I find it an easy way to add dimension and interest.

Thanks for coming by for a look I hope you are inspired to join the challenge at Tag You're It!

Sharing Handmade Kindness With My Kids

Hello, sharing three little cards today I made for my kids.  I tried to personalize these using colors my kids like, I plan to put them in their lunch boxes tomorrow.  I have been meaning to do this for awhile but the challenge being held by Jennifer McGuire gave me the motivation I needed to get to it.week 1

Jennifer McGuire is hosting a challenge for the month of November to share handmade kindness.  Each week she is providing a different theme, this week is Friends and Family.  I used stamps from a set made by Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp stamping onto water color card stock and colored with pencil crayons.  The sentiments are embossed onto patterned paper from Lawn Fawn.  I used 3 mini cards (3"x3") from Stampin' Up that have been in my stash for years.

Tag You're It! Challenge #28

Sharing a bookmark I made for the current challenge at the Tag You're It! Challenge.  The very cute inspiration was created by Jen Mitchell.

For my book mark I coloured the Mama Elephant images with markers and blended the colours with water.  To the balloons I added some sparkle with a jelly roll pen and coated them with glossy accents.  Please excuse the quality of the pictures,  I was out of town on vacation and had to improvise.  Thank goodness I have some crafty relatives, my sister in law lent me some tools to finish my tag.

A couple weeks a go Jennifer McGuire had a guest artist, Julia Alderman, share her technique for watercoloring using markers.  I was inspired to try the Stabilo markers and found they were a convenient size for me to bring on my trip.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have some time to join us for the current Tag You're It! Challenge.

Dog on a Tag Card

I really like the inspiration for the current Tag You're It! challenge, and had a hard time making many changes to it.  For my card I dry embossed a kraft piece of cardstock to create a background with some texture.  The diecut tag I smooshed into some distress ink on my craft mat.  I white embossed the Hello sentiment on the tag (hard to see in the picture).  The puppy was colored with copic markers, I also added some texture to his fur by using a little piece of a rag soaked with copic blender fluid, a method shared by Kathy Racoosin on her blog and I have been wanting to try.

Stamps: Mama Elephant, Studio Calico
Card Stock: Stampin' Up, Neenah, Strathmore
Patterned Paper: Studio Calico
Others:  Washi Tape Scotch, Wooden Stars Studio Calico, Copic Markers
Ink:  Momento, Distress, Versafine, Stampin' Up

Potted Strawberry Tag

Stopping by today to share a tag.  I was inspired by the Tag You're It! Challenge.

I wanted to use a fruit image for my tag and the colors used in the inspiration photo.  I stamped the image (Mama Elephant Potted Pretties) on the die cut tag than colored it with Copic Markers.  I added some Wink of Stella and embossed the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.

Vibrant Stencil

I used a stencil and sponge daubers to create a pattern on this card.  I applied the ink through the stencil removed and cleaned it than flipped it over and applied the ink again.  The sentiment is embossed on velum.

This card was made to play along with two challenges.  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Stencil It! and Runway Inspired Challenge.

The colors and pattern on this outfit are definitely not something I would've come up with on my own.  I like how vibrant they are and the Runway Inspiration Challenge DT came up with some fantastic inspiration.

Stamp:  Mama Elephant
Inks:  Versafine and Stampin' Up
Card stock: Stampin' Up
Stencil: Studio Calico

Shimmery Florals

This card I made using stamps from Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp (Summer Garden) and Mama Elephant for Studio Calico.  I stamped the flowers on water color paper with Versamark Ink and embossed in white.  I then water colored them using Twinkling H2O's.

For the pink background piece I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamp (falling snow).  I applied modelling cream in a shimmery white through the stencil.

Watercolored Summer Garden

Another water colored card today, also using Distress Inks.  This time I used stamps from the set made by Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp called "Summer Garden".  I added some glitter to the flowers when the water coloring was dry using a jelly roll pen.  I'm linking this to the Simon Say's Stamp Monday Challenge: Don't Abandon the Coral.

Water Colored Candles

This card was made using stamps that Mama Elephant made for a Studio Calico card making kit.  I white embossed the candles than used purple water color paints to highlight them.  Another card for the ME challenge.

Water Colored Birthday Balloons

Been awhile since I have been able to do much card making.  Busy with kids home from school and baby on the way.  It was great to escape to my craft room and make a couple of cards.  Both cards were inspired by the Mama Elephant challenge.

I stamped the Bunny and Balloons on a watercolor card stock than coated the image with liquid masking.  I die cut some clouds from masking paper and applied them before doing a wash of water color.  The balloons and bunny were water colored after the sky dried and I removed the  masking fluid.  I added Wink of Stella to the balloons, this was a bit tricky because it activated the watercolors so I had to clean the brush between different colored balloons.
The stamps I used are from ME's "Up and Away " stamp set.
I will be back with another card for this challenge.
