Happy Little Stampers October Watercolour Challenge

Hello, I'm here today with my card for the October Happy Little Stampers Challenge.  I really look forward to October, the weather usually gets a bit cooler here in Texas and Halloween is so much fun.
The optional twist of gold is great for a fall theemed card.   I added gold by heat  embossing the stamped images with gold embossing powder (I used Waffle Flower stamps and dies).  I watercolored using Gansai Tambai paints.  Once the colouring was dry I splatterd on some gold spray by removing the sprayer and taping the straw so the paint would come out in droplets.  After adherring the card together I used Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops to add some gold sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by, looking forward to seeing what you create for the Happy Little Stampers October Watercolour Challenge.

Hello.  I always can use more masculine tween cards.  I made this card with some fun Waffle Flower stamps coloured with Copic Markers.  I masked the stamped images and added some Distress Ink with a sponge applicator, sprinkled on some water and added some Nuvo Drops.

Rainbow Sprayed Birthday Card

I haven't used my spray inks much lately, it was fun to get them out for September's challenge at Happy Little Stampers.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

How I made my card:
1.  Diecut watercolor cardstock ( I used a die from Waffle Flower).
2.  Spray ink one color at a time, use heat gun to dry inbetween colours.  My first attempt I didn't dry between spraying and ended up with a muddy mess.
3.  Once ink spray is dry stamp sentiment (stamp from Waffle Flower) with black Versafine ink and emboss with clear glitter embossing powder (I used Wow Neutral Glitter).
3.  Adhere black diecut to card base, adhere layer of fun foam to back of front panel for dimension and embelish card with sequins and clear gems (I used Studio Katia sequins and gems).

Mr. & Mrs. Tag

I was doing some reorganizing in my craft room and found an older Stampin' Up stamp set that made me think of the current Tag You're It!  Challenge inspiration.

Lindsey Larsen is our featured artist and the inspiration she provided us is so lovely.  My Mom is very creative, I enjoy talking to her about projects, when she saw Lindsey's tag she said it made her think of weddings.  I too felt the colours Lindsey used and the white floral diecut would be perfect for a wedding theme.

For my tag I stamped and embossed the cake image on a tag diecut from bristol paper.  I watercolored the image using a Zig marker.  I added a bit of glitter to the flowers using a Spectrum Noir glitter pen.  All the dies I used for this tag are from Waffle Flower, stamps used are retired from Stampin' Up.

Thank you for coming by, I hope you are inspired to make a tag and share it with us at Tag You're It!

Lotus Thank You

I have been coloring these stamped lotus flowers (from Waffle Flower) for a few days now using pencil crayons.  I selected my favorite ones from the ones I colored to make a card.  I added glitter Nuvo embossing paste using a stencil on the die cut green card stock (die from Waffle Flower) to create the background.  I added some detail to the flowers by adding some Black Glaze pen to the dots on the center of the large flower and some subtle glitter to the petals of all the flowers with a glitter pen.

Colorful Pumpkins

In my previous post I shared a card using this stamp from Waffle Flower's stamp set "Trick or Treat".  For this card I embossed the image in white than water colored it using Distress Inks.  This card was inspired by the challenge Inspired By All The Little Things.

I love the colors of these velvety pumpkins.

Thanks for stopping by.

Pumpkins

I made a couple different cards using a pumpkin stamp from Waffle Flower's stamp set "Trick or Treat".  For this card I did some no line watercoloring using distress inks.  I used dies from the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers set to cut out the layers of my card.  For the sentiment I also used a Waflle Flower die to diecut the word 3 times, adhered the die cuts together than embossed it 3 times with gold embossing powder.  I made this card for the Waffle Flower October Challenge.

Tag You're It! #57

Hello!  The Tag You're It! challenge #57 inspiration is a great coffee themed tag made by Richard Breaks.  Richard Breaks's tag and a bag of coffee would make a great host gift!  I was inspired to make a Christmas version of his tag.

I used Waffle Flower stamps and Dies and Lawn Fawn Patterned paper on my project.  I think I have a bit of Copic Marker anxiety.  It's silly but when I use my markers I get a little anxious about how my work is going to turn out.   I'm not sure why I find Copics intimidating!  I have to remind myself not to squeeze my markers too hard!
I added some shine to my tag by using Glossy Accents on the candy canes, Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen on the cup and gold embossing the sentiment.
I am also joining the ABC Christmas Challenge "T is for Two"  my tag has two candy canes.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope to see you join in the Tag You're It! challenge.

Stacked Cups

Hello again!  Back with the other card that I made with inspiration from the Waffle Flower Challenge.  I was drawn to the colors, tea cup and shiny word in the inspiration photo.  I water colored a background than stamped a stack of tea cups.  To stack the cups I first stamped the top cup than masked it before stamping the cup below it.  Again I die cut the Jumbo Letters three times stacked them and adhered them together and added three layers of  Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  I added some Nuvo drops to the eyes of the top cup.
Stamps Used:  Waffle Flower "Warm Wishes"
Die:  Waffle Flower "Jumbo Letter HI Die Set"
That's all today, thanks for stopping by.

Shiny Hi

Hello!  I made a couple cards this weekend inspired by the September Waffle Flower Challenge.  What inspired me about this months challenge are the colors, the tea cup, flowers and the shiny word.   I stamped and embossed the tea cups and flowers on water color card stock.  I than applied Distress ink that I had smooshed on my craft sheet and spritzed with water and perfect pearls.  I used a technique recently shared by Jennifer McGuire to apply the color using my fingers.  The perfect pearls added a really pretty shimmer to the card.  While my water color piece was drying I die cut the "Hi" three times, adhered the cutouts together to make the letters thicker and raised than added 3 layers of embossing powder to them.  I adhered the "Hi" to a die cut circle before adhering it to the watercolored background, that way I could hide the adhesive behind the letters since it shows through velum.  I am also entering this in the 2017 Catalog Challenge.
Stamps used: Waffle Flower sets "Warm Wishes" and "Faye"
Dies: Waffle Flower "Jumbo Letter HI Die Set" and "Flower Circles Die Set"

Waffle Flower Jumbo Letters

Hello!  I hope you are having a great weekend.  My family and I are enjoying a relaxing weekend after getting back into the last couple of weeks of getting back into the school routine.
I made this card with Waffle Flower products for their catalog challenge.

The challenge requires the use of the Waffle Flower Jumbo Letter Dies.  The Jumbo Letter Dies are a fun product to use!  Lots of different design possibilities with the Jumbo Letter Dies!

I stamped the monkeys and fruit with a light colored ink than water colored the images.  When the water coloring was dry I die cut the Jumbo Letter "HI" from my water colored piece.  The die cuts out outlined letters and thin letters for this card I decided to use the thin letters . To add color to the die cut letters I painted them.  I adhered everything to the card base then added glitter to the stamped hearts and thin HI diecut also adding shine to the HI with glossy accents.

Stamps used from Waffle Flower sets: Willy and Friends and Claire

Filled with Thanks

Hello!  I made a card this morning using stamps from Waffle Flower.  I stamped the background with images from the "Leafy"  set of stamps.  For some embellishment I added Nuvo crystal drops randomly on the background piece.  I fussy cut the jar images that I had stamped ("Good Stuff" stamp set) and embossed.  I adhered the jars to the background piece using small amounts of liquid glue on the backs of the jars.  Since adhesive tends to show through velum I tried to follow the lines of the embossed images.  This card was made for the current Waffle Flower challenge.  I was inspired by the colors, jars and flowers.

Imperfectly Perfect

Hi again!  Back with a card made for the Waffle Flower Challenge.  All the stamps and dies used for this card are from Waffle Flower.  I water colored the images with distress inks.  The photo inspiration is a pretty feminine room.  I drew inspiration from the colors in the picture and the swatches on the side.

My first time playing along with the Waffle Flower Challenge.  The challenge provides photo inspiration, a featured technique and a sketch.  For my card I smooshed watercolor cardstock into 3 shades of purple distress ink spritzed with water on my craft mat.  I dried between adding layers of ink with my heat tool.  After I used a stencil to apply embossing paste than when the piece was dry die cut it to create the curve.  The sentiment is and heart image are from Waffle Flowers Surface Tag set.  This stamp set is also new to me so I am adding this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge : Something New.

Tag You're It Challenge #38

Hello, time for the first Tag You're It! challenge in 2016.  Inspiration for challenge #38 at Tag You're It! is this sweet tag by Tracey!  What immediately caught my eye on Tracey's tag was the water colored background and the pops of color from the balloon and daisy's.

I love cute critter stamps and decided to use my never used before Waffle Flower set for my tag.  I added glossy accents to the bananas and monkeys eyes and some Wink of Stella to the flower.  I also embossed the sentiment to help it stand out.
I have had the same heat gun for over 15 years, my husband gave me a new one for Christmas and it is amazing how much better it works.  I also used one of my new Holbein tube watercolors for the background.  With the use of these new to me items my tag is also eligible for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Something New.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your inspired to join the Tag You're It! challenge.

Some of my supplies used:
