Get Well Flowers

The November Challenge has started at the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

Check out all the details HERE.

I stamped and heat embossed the flowers (From Winnie and Walter) on water colour paper.  I cut a mask from masking paper and masked off the roses before stamping and embossing the leaves.  I used some colours I felt were good for the fall season to color the flowers.  The card was painted with Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany and Fossilized Amber Distress Ink.  The sentiment was stamped and diecut using a set from Hero Arts.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I look forward to seeing your work at Happy Little Stampers.

Winnie and Walter and Chibitronics

Welcome to my blog post for the Winnie and Walter and Chibitronic Blog Hop.  I'm happy to be part of the hop as a member of the Chibitronic team.

As the temperatures climb here it is refreshing to work on a winter themed card.  I love the cute critters in the stamp sets designed By Evelin T. For Winnie and Walter, for my card I used "Season's Tweetings with Evelin T. Designs".
When the recipient pulls the tab they see a sentiment and the lights turn.  I used an effects sticker in my circuit so the lights blink on and off.

To help me build my circuit using an effects sticker I refer to the instructions found here.

The arrow on the top of my card reminds me where to line the circuit up when adherring it to the card front.  I cut a slit in the circuit for my slider, the slider has copper tape on it that when pulled completes the circuit and the LED's light up.

For my card front I stamped the igloo and penguin on a piece of card stock.  I stamped the penguin first masked it then stamped the igloo.  I colored the images with pencil crayons (colored pencils) then fussy cut the image.  the background was made by cutting a piece of masking paper to look like a snow bank then adhering it to a piece of card stock.  I ink blended a couple shade of distress ink for the night sky.  Keeping the mask in place I used the Winnie and Walter Stencil "Big Bang Sci-Fi Star Creative Screenings"  to apply glitter paste.  Once the paste was dry I adhered the igloo to the card.  I used a piercing tool to poke holes in three of the lights on the igloo for the LED's to shine through.  Once my card was all put together I added glossy accents on top of the lights to finish it off.

Watercoloured Tulips

Hello!  My card is for the Floral Challenge collabortion of Hero Arts and Winnie and Walter at A Blog Named Hero.

Image may contain: text
I used Twinkling H2O's watercolor paints to colour my card, I wish I could capture the pretty shine in my photos.  The floral stamps from Winnie and Walter's set "In Bloom: Addie's Garden" are very fun to watercolor.  I used a Mini Misti and masking to stamp the flowers and leaves with Hero Arts Black Dye Ink (great ink for watercoloring).  I painted the flowers one petal at a time with the wet on wet technique.  For the wet on wet technique I painted a petal with clean water then dabbed on purple or pink paint at the top of petal tilting the cardstock and used my paint brush
to move the paint then added some orange paint at the bottom again helping it move.  Make sure the petal is dry before painting the one next to it or the colors will flow together.  I glued together four diecuts of the "happy" sentiment from Hero Arts adherred it to the card and embelished it with Liquid Pearls.  The sequins are from Winnies Sparkly Shaker Collection.

I hope you join our July Floral Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.

Rainbow Greeting

Last post for me today.  This card I made for the W&W Challenge "Rainbow Challenge With Vanessa".  I printed the W&W digital freebie "The Gossip Column: Geometric Generation Digital Elements" on water color card stock.  I coated the entire piece with water than dropped on Peerless water color paints I also spritzed the piece with more water to get the paint moving.  I die cut the sentiment (W&W "In a Word: Friend, Hello, Hi & Hugs Digital Elements) three times gluing the layers together than to the top layer I added three layers of Ultra Thick Embossing powder.  The sentiment looks substantial and glossy.

I am also sharing this at Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday. The challenge is to use something new and the digital elements on my card are new to me.

Birthday Shakers

Back again with more cards for the Winnie and Walter challenges.
w&w_bb2ndb_challengefinal

These two shakers I created for the "Two Challenge With Shay".  For this challenge we are encouraged to make a project using the number 2.  I created 2 shaker cards using W&W digital freebies "1st Birthday Bash Digital Elements"  My tween daughter loved these cards, they will be great for having on hand to give to her friends for their Birthdays.  I die cut the sentiments from the W&W "The Big, The Bold and Party Digital Elements" 3 times each word gluing the layers together than glued sparkles on the top layer to create interest.

I am also sharing these cards at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Shake It Up.

Water Colored birds in a Row

This it my second card that I made this weekend.  This card was made with the Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday challenge "Gold + Water Color Challenge with Heather" in mind.  I stamped the birds from Winnie & Walter set "Happiest of Holidays" on water color card stock and used distress inks to water color them.  I die cut the sentiment using W & W "The Big, The Bold and Party Digital Elements" 3 times each word.  I glued the 3 die cuts of the same word together to create a thicker embellishment than added gold embossing powder to the bottoms.
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back soon.

Tree over the Edge

Hello!  I'm sharing some cards today I made with inspiration from the Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday Bash.  This card is for the "Over The Edge Challenge With Kelly".  I stamped the branches and bird house off the edge of my watercolor cardstock piece to give the feeling of looking at the side of a tree or the ends of branches.  I used Winnie and Walter stamps from the set "Happiest of Holidays".
Thanks for stopping by, I have 3 more posts coming sharing cards made with Winnie & Walter products.
