Mr. & Mrs. Tag

I was doing some reorganizing in my craft room and found an older Stampin' Up stamp set that made me think of the current Tag You're It!  Challenge inspiration.

Lindsey Larsen is our featured artist and the inspiration she provided us is so lovely.  My Mom is very creative, I enjoy talking to her about projects, when she saw Lindsey's tag she said it made her think of weddings.  I too felt the colours Lindsey used and the white floral diecut would be perfect for a wedding theme.

For my tag I stamped and embossed the cake image on a tag diecut from bristol paper.  I watercolored the image using a Zig marker.  I added a bit of glitter to the flowers using a Spectrum Noir glitter pen.  All the dies I used for this tag are from Waffle Flower, stamps used are retired from Stampin' Up.

Thank you for coming by, I hope you are inspired to make a tag and share it with us at Tag You're It!

Tag You're It #58

Hello!  Time for a new challenge at Tag You're It!  Leigh Penner is the featured artist for challenge #58.  I love the colors she used for her tag!

On my tag I used Distress Inks for my stamping.  I blended the colors on the leaves using a water brush then painted some grey Distress Ink around the leaves.  Once the ink was dry I die cut the tag and embossed the sentiment.
The diecut tag is how I created a focal point on my card.  I am sharing this card at Virginia's View Challenge as well.

I hope you join us for challenge #58 at Tag You're It!
Thanks for stopping by.

Colorful Poinsettia

Hello!  I was inspired by the Muse challenge this week to create this card.  I made this card by embossing the poinsettia with gold tinsel embossing powder than adding color using Brusho powders.  Tracey McNeely recently demonstrated how to add paint powders in a video you can find on her blog.
Also this colorful card qualifies in this weeks Sunday Stamps Challenge "Happy Colors".
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

Never Too Much Happy

Crazy week here with the wild storm early Monday and the terrible flooding.  We thankfully stayed dry but my children's school has been closed for three days now as many staff were affected by the flooding.  I have been piecing together this card over the last few days,  When I could steal a moment away in my craft room I would work on a part of it until I was able to assemble it.  The background I made using glitter embossing paste and a stencil.  I sponged two shades of distress ink on the diecut tag.  I sponged more distress ink on a scrap of card stock then die cut the beautiful butterfly (from Concord and 9th) and brushed on Pearl Ex.
I cased the current inspiration from my team mate, Carol Mayne, at the Tag You're It! challenge.

It would be fantastic if you can join in Tag You're It!  Challenge #45.
Thanks for stopping by.

Santa Tag

Time for a new challenge with Tag You're It!  Joyce Mehrberg made a very detailed wonderful shaker tag for our inspiration.

For my card I used a set of stamps from Stampin' Up.  the background on the tag was made by first punching a circle out of masking paper to mask off the moon on the tag before sponging on distress inks in blues and a purple.  I than removed the mask and used a dauber to apply some yellow ink.  I sprinkled on some Mister Huey Shine.  After the tag was dry I stamped the Santa and Reindeer silhouette image and sentiment.  I traced around the Santa image with a clear jelly roll pen to add some extra sparkle.

I'm also linking my card up with the current Tic Tac Toe Challenge being held by The Paper Players.

My card includes ribbon, sparkle or shine and white.
Thanks for stopping by hope you can join us for the Tag You're It! Challenge.

Water Colored Leaf

Sharing a card today inspired by a couple of challenges and the season.  Jeanne Jachna created the beautiful tag for the inspiration at the current Tag You're It! Challenge.  I loved the colors and the golden leaf.  There is still time to participate in the current challenge.

The current inspiration at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge is a watercolored piece.  I watercolored a piece of water color cardstock with a dark yellow, once that was dry I embossed the leaf image with gold embossing powder than added red and dark orange watercolors around the leaf image.   I used sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to embelish my card.
