Masked Watercolour Card

Hello.  My card today is for the Happy Little Stampers June challenge.

The winner of the challenge will receive a $20 coupon for the shop.
I choose to use the optional twist for the challenge (you don't have to but I found it gave me some card making inspiration) and masked the stamped image using masking fluid.

Once the masking fluid was dry I painted three shades of Peerless watercolour over it.  I wanted to create a ombre look so I used two shades of blue and a purple.

Once the paint was dry I removed the masking fluid, adhered my card together added the sentiment on a strip of velum and for a finishing touch some Nuvo drops.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you join the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge.

  3. So clever! I always forget about masking fluid I've had some for ages and never use it! You've inspired me. I love the pretty colours you chose for the backgrounds too.
