Rainbow chevron

Just quickly sharing a card I made for Papertrey Inks Make It Monday.  We were shown this week how to use velum to soften a bold background.  I used my Misti tool to stamp the PTI Chevron Stripes.  I haven't used the Chevron Stripes stamp set much because I have found it difficult to line up.  Using the Misti made it much more simpler to line up the stripes.  I used a sentiment stamp from Wonderful Words: Birthday stamped with Versamark and embossed in gold on a piece of velum. The black "Birthday" was die cut with a PTI die and glued on the velum.  I then attached the velum piece to the background by machine sewing it on.

Have a great weekend.
