Chibitronics with Studio Katia

Hello here today with a card I made using Chibitronics and Studio Katia products.

I used the Mandala stamp from Studio Katia, so many ways this image can be colored. I stamped and embossed the mandala on watercolor card stock.  I colored using watercolor crayons and around the mandala with Dr. PH Martins watercolor.

The circuit for this card was simple.   I used a craft pick to poke holes in the mandala where I wanted the lights.   For my light circuit I cut a piece of card stock slightly smaller then my card front.  Then I used a pencil and marked through the holes on the front to the card stock where I wanted to place the lights.  I used a ruler to draw lines to plan placement of the copper tape on the card stock.

My three year old daughter enjoyed watching me make this card and helped test the lights before I adhered the water colored front.

I used three layers of foam tape to adhere the front of the card to ensure lots of clearance from the circuit and battery. Assembling the card this way helps the battery last longer as the recipient has to firmly press the card to complete the circuit and light up the Chibi Lights.

For some embelishment I added Wink of Stella to the circle in the center of the mandala and coated it with glossy accents.  I also added score lines around the front piece to frame it and sequins and crystals from Studio Katia.  The pink Chibi lights look beautiful in this card!  Please go to the Chibitronics Blog to see more fun Chibitronic projects.
Thank you for stopping by.
