Chevron Christmas Tree

Hello!  Here today with a Christmas card for the Geometric Challenge at A Blog Named Hero.  I made a Christmas tree stencil using a Hero Arts digital file for Silhouette and die cut it from Silhouette stencil material.  I taped down a piece of bristol cardstock than drew a light line with a pencil and ruler across it so I could line up my stencil straight.  The stencil is sticky backed which made it easy to place.  I than used stencil brushes to brush on distress ink.  I choose the colors of distress ink by looking on Pinterest for inspiration.  I have seen some beautiful blends of Distress Ink created by someone who uses the user name "Thecolorsofmagic".  I let the distress ink dry overnight before stamping and embossing the Hero Arts (from the stamp set  "Color Layering Dimensional Bird") sentiment in gold.

  1. What a gorgeous blend of colors, Kelly! I love your stenciled chevron tree. I've got to get some of that stencil material for the silhouette!
