Foiled Christmas Tree

I finally got some time this weekend to make some cards with ideas and techniques from the latest Online Card Class.

Jennifer McGuire shares in class her technique of using heat and stick embossing powder and foiling.  I just could not seem to do it right so I used another technique shared awhile ago by Jennifer on her blog using embossing and a laminator to apply foil to a stamped image (stamps by Tim Holtz).  I also embossed the sentiment with red glitter embossing powder  and sprinkled on some shine Mister Huey for more sparkle.  I am also joining this card up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Christmas".

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Really beautiful! I had trouble getting the sticky to work just right too and then it smeared when I rubbed with the bone folder. My second try was a little better but still not perfect.
