Stampafaire

This is me in my Craft Cave.  My craft room is a home theatre room so it was painted a horrible dark green colour.  It is a small room (too small for a theatre room I think) with high ceilings and sound proofing, despite the window we had put in it feels like a cave.  I was motivated to clean in there and organize my desk a bit for this weekends Papertrey Ink Stampafaire.  Some of my supplies from the Stampafaire kit are in the turquoise bucket on my desk.  I'm looking forward to starting to create some of the projects.
My kids are back to school on Monday so this weekend will be a bit busy but I will fit in some card making.
I got this post ready yesterday morning, when I went to link it up to the Meet and Greet I realized I was too late (I forgot to take into account the different time zones).

Since than I have made 3 cards inspired by yesterday's Papertrey Ink Stampaffaire.  The first one is for the sketch and colour challenge.  I think this one is my favorite of the three.  I used PTI's Little Bitty Bird stamp set.

My next card I used the homemade mister I made using the Scarlet Jewel PTI reinker.  The sentiment is from the PTI set "Reasons To Smile"

The last card I made using salt on the centers of the poppies.  I recently did painting with my kids using a similar technique (they had a lot of fun with it).  I stamped the poppy images than added glue to the center of the flowers, sprinkled on salt , let it dry, tapped off the loose salt than added some black ink to the salt glued to the flowers using a paint brush.  The stamps I used are from PTI set "Reasons To Smile".

This is my first time participating in Papertrey Inks Stamp A Faire, very fun!  I hope I have some more time tomorrow to try some more of the techniques shared.
