Happy Little Stampers January Challenge

Hello!  Happy New Year!  I'm here today to share my card for the January Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

IF YOU USE STAMPS BY HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS AND YOU ARE OUR RANDOM WINNER, YOUR PRIZE WILL BE DOUBLED!

For my card I used a die (Studio Katia) to cut the tag shape from watercoloured cardstock.  I then embossed the snowflake images (Simon Says Stamp)  with iridescent sparkle embossing powder.  I watercoloured the tag using wet on wet technique.  Once the watercolouring was dry I added some shimmer using white Delicate ink (its very pretty shimmery ink) and rubbed the ink pad directly to the edges of the tag.  I adhered the tag using foam adhesive.
I wish you all the best in 2018 and hope you are inspired to share your work at Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge.

A Blog Named Hero December Challenge

Hello!  I'm here today with a card for A Blog Named Hero's December Challenge.

Image may contain: text
Life is very busy right now with the holidays fast approaching, I wanted to make a quick but pretty Holiday card.  The design of this card was actually inspired by one of my daughter's nightgowns.  The fabric of her nightgown is pink with a winter themed print in dark pink print with white highlights.  I stamped the Hero Arts stamps from the set "Holiday Cheer" on Hero Arts Pool Layering Paper using Tide Pool Ink.  As this card is fairly simple I wanted to keep it clean looking so I used my Misti Tool and the Simon Says Stamp Grid Transparency helped me with stamp placement.   I added white highlights with a gel pen.  I used a Clarity Stencil Brush to lightly apply some pool ink around the edges.   Next I embossed the sentiment using Hero Arts White Embossing powder. Finally  I diecut the Simon Says Stamp Maryanne Snowflake die from more pool colored paper, adhered the snowflakes and used a glue pen to add glue for the Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

It was fun to collaborate with Simon Says Stamp this month.  Thanks for stopping by I hope you are inspired to share your work at A Blog Named Hero.

Hoppy Easter

Easter is fast approaching and I need to make some cards for it. This card was quickly made using a card sketch and patterned paper (always good to use up some of my paper stash).  I used stamps from Simon Says Stamp and Right at Home and patterned paper from Doodlebug.  The bunny peep is covered in Rock Candy Stickle glitter it doesn't show in the photo but it looks like it is coated in sugar.

I am joining three challenges with this card; Sketch Saturday, Spring Coffee Lovers and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.

Snow Much Fun

It got cold for here on the weekend, my kids were really hoping for snow.  No snow for us but made a card using the pretty Simon Says Card kit with the lovely snowflake stamps I received from my kids for Christmas.  Perfect stamps for sending cards to Canadian family who enjoy plenty of snow.  I embossed the snowflakes on water color cardstock with a glittery white embossing powder, sprayed the cardstock and added Brusho powder to it.  I sprayed the cardstock with water that had a bit of pearl ex mixed in for some shine.  I was inspired by the Paper Craft Crew challenge for my card design. Also sharing this at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Something New (December card kit is new and first time I used it).

Fall Pine Cones Greeting Card

Fall has arrived, I'm hoping that means cooler weather here soon.  With the hot weather we have been having I have to remind myself that Canadian Thanksgiving is in a few short weeks and I need to make cards to send family.  Since there are so many great fall stamps sets its easy to get into the fall card making mode.  This new set from Concord & 9th and Simon Says Stamp from the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember event caught my eye as being very versatile.  I used water color card stock and Distress Ink to make this card.  I recorded myself making it if you would like to watch and see how.

I am sharing this card at Where Creativity Meets C9, the  theme is"Celebration". Thanksgiving to me is a celebration of family and gratitude.  I am also joining the 4 Crafty Chicks challenge, "Colors of Fall".

Yellow Rose Shaker

Hello there!  Today's card was made with stamps from Altenew and Simon Say's Stamp.  I was inspired by a few different challenges.

I went with the top row at the Tic Tac Toe challenge.  We have a small garden in our back yard.  The garden is along the back fence and there is a hardy rose bush with yellow flowers back there.

I am also linking this up to the Mod Squad challenge which currently challenges us to have something peeking out of the front layer of our cards (for my card I created a shaker window).  I also used products from the Mod Squad sponsor, Altenew (Vintage Roses and Wood Pallet Background).

And also joining in the challenge at Altenew.

I actually made this card before seeing the Altenew challenge photograph, but I feel with the roses and the sparkly sequins my card fits the theme of the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Kitty playing in Leaves

Last card for me today.  I made this one using Simon Say's Stamp and Newton's Nook collaboration stamps.  Two challenges to link this one up with.  I used the card sketch from Retrosketches for my card layout.  This also qualifies for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge "Autumn Is In the Air".

Muse Christmas Visions

Another card to share today.  This one is for the Muse: Christmas Visions Challenge.
The fun inspirational card was made by Chriss Blagrave.  I like the colors of her card and the design.

I embossed the sweater on my card than colored it using pencils.  I don't have a curved border die so I hand cut the piece and drew on faux stitches.  A little bit different than a traditional Christmas card.  My husband wears an ugly Christmas sweater to work before the holidays so I like to make him a few cards to give to his coworkers with the Ugly Christmas Sweater stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

Multi Step Stamped Roses

Hello sharing a card today for the Virginia's View Challenge.  The July challenge is 100% Stamped.

July Challenge: 100% Stamped

For my card I used a multi step stamp set, Vintage Roses, from Altenew.  I love the results from this stamp set but it did take me some practice to learn how to line up the layers of the stamps.  Watching the instructional video on the Altenew website was a big help.  For the sentiment I used the Simon Says Stamp set Sending and Wishing.

Shimmery Florals

This card I made using stamps from Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp (Summer Garden) and Mama Elephant for Studio Calico.  I stamped the flowers on water color paper with Versamark Ink and embossed in white.  I then water colored them using Twinkling H2O's.

For the pink background piece I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamp (falling snow).  I applied modelling cream in a shimmery white through the stencil.

I'm linking this card up to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Simon Products.

I will also be using my Flickr account to join in the Mama Elephant May challenge.
