Mystical Card

Sharing a card I made for a couple different challenges.  I masked a piece of water color card stock to create a rectangle in the middle.  I stamped it with the stars which I colored with a gold gel pen than coated with glossy accents ( a masking technique I learned ages ago from Karin on the Lawnscaping Blog). When the glossy accents dried I water  colored the piece with distress inks.  I sprinkled the wet piece with salt than let it dry.  The salt absorbs the ink and creates texture.  When dry brush off the salt than spray with a glimmer spray to create a mystical nighttime sky.  The castle dragon and griffin where colored with Copic markers (I'm definitely a novice at Copic coloring but find the Teachers Color Chart from the Online Copic Coloring For Card Makers Class really helpful).  I fussy cut the three images.  Die cut some clouds from water colored card stock and velum, glued on the clouds and castle to the background panel.  The dragon and griffin are popped up with dimensional foam tape.
Stamps used for this card are from Lawn Fawn's set "Critters Ever After".
